EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) has entered into an agreement with All Academic Inc. that will provide researchers with access to a growing collection of full text conference papers from top scholarly societies. This partnership leverages the strengths of both organizations and will benefit researchers in many disciplines. EBSCOhost® academic full text databases are the unquestioned leader in the area of full text journal content. Though EBSCO Publishing continues to license additional full text journals for inclusion in its databases, the company also has emphasized database growth through non-journal full text content. Non-journal content includes sources such as monographs, country economic reports, industry reports, market research reports, and more. Through the recent partnership with All Academic Inc., thousands of full text conference papers soon will be included in appropriate EBSCOhost databases. All Academic Inc. provides comprehensive software and data management solutions for the business, research, and scholarly communities. The company provides tools utilized in conjunction with society conventions which facilitate the peer-review process and allow presenters to make their conference papers available as part of a conference archive. Participating societies include American Historical Association, American Political Science Association, American Society of Criminology, American Sociological Association, International Communication Association, International Political Science Association, Law and Society, National Association of EMS Physicians, National Communication Association, Psychology of Mathematics and Education of North America, and many others. As a result, the company controls an archive of thousands of high-end conference papers, often including deep backfiles. EBSCO's recent partnership with All Academic will bring nearly 25,000 full text conference papers into appropriate EBSCOhost databases including Academic Search™ Premier, Business Source® Premier and Communication & Mass Media™ Complete. The companies anticipate that approximately 20,000 records will be added to EBSCOhost databases on annual basis beginning in 2005. According to Tim Collins, EBSCO's Vice President & Division General Manager, this partnership represents a large step in an important direction for EBSCOhost researchers as well as authors contributing their works as part of conference proceedings. "With content from All Academic, EBSCO is providing an avenue for societies dedicated to virtually any area of study to share their associated papers with a larger audience outside the realm of their individual conferences." Collins continued, "With so many highly regarded associations participating with All Academic, the quality of this content is outstanding. We anticipate and encourage other societies to consider the possibility of working with All Academic to continue to enhance access to their members' important research."
