Forbes Magazine Announces America’s Largest Private Companies in 2005
EBSCO Industries, Inc. Ranked #162 BIRMINGHAM , Ala. , U.S.A. , November 22, 2005 – Forbes magazine has ranked EBSCO Industries, Inc. number 162 on this year’s list of America ’s Largest Private Companies. The list includes 339 companies, representing businesses in the retail, publishing and construction industries, among others, and ranks U.S.-headquartered firms with annual revenues of 1 billion U.S. dollars or more. This is the tenth consecutive year EBSCO has appeared on the list. EBSCO Information Services is the largest division of EBSCO Industries. Founded in 1944, EBSCO Information Services is a full-service subscription agency with 32 offices in 20 countries around the world. It provides libraries and research centers with online and print journal subscription services, e-resource access and management services, full-text and secondary database development and access, an OpenURL-compliant link resolver, online book purchasing and related information services.
