LinkSource™ now offers several new features designed to maximize its effectiveness in libraries. By adding more customization options, the flexibility and power of the linking service have been increased to provide more access to full text across all of a library's e-resources, in ways that can be configured to best meet the needs of many different institutions and library types.

Additionally, LinkSource will continue to be offered with all-inclusive pricing, which is unique to the industry. The fee for the service includes all training, support, the knowledgebase and its updates, and product configuration services, along with unlimited linking and customization.

New features include:

• An easy-to-use, expanded knowledgebase of more than 550 database definitions and 100 link templates, which can be used to create the target menu instantaneously.
• Automatic processing of A-to-Z export files, which can be used to configure the LinkSource menu quickly.
• The ability to prioritize access to full text content according to the desire of the library (including EBSCO's content).
• The option to take the end user directly to the article if full text is included on the LinkSource menu.
• Additional customization of the LinkSource menu, including section headers for groups of target resources, as well as the ability to specify custom text on the main banner.
• The ability to customize text messages that will be displayed when an end user follows a link to full text, providing any needed special instructions to access the resource (such as user name and password).
• Additional functions to support linking based on a second criteria if the first criteria is not met (such as a link based on Journal Title if ISSN does not exist).
• Access to the citation manager, allowing a librarian to enter directly the citation metadata to locate related resources.
• The choice to provide certain links only if the end user is starting their search in a particular database.
• The option to display a single link that will accurately link to multiple databases, or separate links to each database, if an institution subscribes to more than one database from a single vendor.
