The New Republic, long recognized as one of America's leading journals of opinion, will soon be available from EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) as a stand-alone database on the company's EBSCOhost® platform. The new full text database will be called The New Republic Archive™. Says Ari Gersen, Online Business Director, "We are very excited to make such a large compilation of issues from The New Republic available as a single database. By partnering with EBSCO, we have been able to achieve this goal quickly and efficiently. Now, not only will readers of The New Republic have easy access to current issues of the journal, they will also be able to search through decades of past content by means of the extensive backfile that the new database provides." The New Republic, founded in 1914, is the country's leading journal of opinion on politics and the arts. Current and past issues of the journal are now available together in a single, stand-alone online database. The New Republic Archive presents insights from a variety of viewpoints on topics such as politics, foreign policy, culture, current events, the arts, and much more. The database features award-winning writers and critics from many fields and from most political viewpoints. The New Republic Archive contains more than 4,550 issues, with coverage dating back to 1914. In addition, this database currently contains more than 82,000 PDF files with current issues continually added.
